*Boudoir can be BOLD, empowering and intimate.

Are you making all sorts of excuses in your head why you can’t do this?

“I’m not a model”

I hear over and over “I’m not a model” “I’m not photogenic” or “I don’t know how to pose.” Here’s the good news, none of this is required. I also hear sometimes that clients want to “drop a few pounds” before their session. This is also not a requirement. I love seeing people taking care of themselves, but this is a session for who you are now and being proud of who you are more than what you look like.

“I can’t afford it”

It is definitely an investment, however, are you saying you’re not worth it? You are worthy of a photo session. We spend so much money for photography at weddings, for family sessions, etc. Why can’t invest in ourselves? We are all individual humans who deserve to be documented independently from the other people in our lives.

Also, ask about payment plans because that is always an option.

“I have no reason, or anyone to give the photos to”

Good news is you don’t need a reason for self care. This is exactly what these sessions are, a form of self care. Sure, you can show the photos off, give them to a significant other if you want or keep them all to yourself. They are yours and you have the power to make these choices. Even clients that come to me saying they want to do it as a gift, I tell them, first it’s a gift to themselves.
